Residential Services
Creating Families within Communities
For many individuals with developmental disabilities finding an inviting, safe place to live can be problematic. Durand provides a solution with seven group homes. Located in the townships of Voorhees, Marlton, Cherry Hill, Delran, Willingboro, and Wenonah, NJ, each home has approximately five residents. Staffed by teams of trained professionals 24/7, 365 days a year, the residences look like any house on a suburban block. And that is Durand’s intent — to create a therapeutic environment in a home-like atmosphere.
Residents lead busy, active lives, going to work, to school or day programs and taking part in community events. Staff work with each resident to improve daily living, communication and social skills so that people can move forward. The homes offer many group activities. Family members are always welcome to visit and participate.
Each group home is licensed by New Jersey’s Division of Developmental Disabilities which pays all residential costs.
